Researchers from Norfolk, Virgina found that just three days of phosphate supplementation was enough to knock 35 seconds off the 5-mile performance time of endurance athletes. Not only that, VO2max increased by almost 9%. It was even used by the Germans in world war 2 to help them march longer.
