If you want to pack on serious muscle size and strength, then Creatamax Extreme and ZMA are possibly two of the most potent supplements you’ll find. After just 7 days of using this powerful stack, MB readers report greater strength and a fuller, tighter physique. Used in combination with a high-protein diet, and an effective training programme (check the training routines section of the site for a choice of highly effective training plans), MB readers have reported as much as 6 or 8 pounds (maybe more) of lean muscle mass in just 3-4 weeks.

Here’s why this stack is so effective and popular…

Creatine has become the number one selling supplement, along with protein powders. If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing.

It’s a fact that Creatine - when taken correctly along with the other unique ingredients found within Creatamax Extreme - will help you pack on size and muscle faster than any other legal supplement you have tried. I’ve watched this unique formula being improved every year for almost a decade in line with research to give you the strongest and most effective supplement that science has to offer.

MAXPURE Creatine: 5 grams
Each serving of Creatamax Extreme contains the full 5 grams of Maxpure Creatine Monohydrate. Creatine Monohydrate is without a doubt one of the most effective and research proven supplement in the world. Even the most sceptical of scientists now agree it increases lean muscle, size, strength and hardness. Liquid Creatine has been shown by trading standards to be unstable in 99% of cases, thus causing nearly all the Creatine to be converted into the waste product Creatinine. By insisting that Creatamax Extreme only contains the finest MAXPURE Creatine, you are guaranteed virtually zero levels of Creatinine and the lowest levels of potentially cancer causing impurities, such as Dicyandiamide, and Dihydrotriazine. (which are found in formulas that use cheaper Chinese or industrial-grade Creatine.) MAXPURE may cost a little extra, but with the amount of Creatine most bodybuilders like to use, is your health worth more than a few pounds?

Acetyl-L-Carnitine: 1000mg
The exciting amino acid Acetyl-L-Carnitine is also included, in the 1000 mg dose needed for maximum results. Acetyl-L-Carnitine (far more effective than L-Carnitine) will support your body’s energy production and ability to force oxygen into the muscles (VO2max), decrease painful lactic acid and help reduce the risk of cramps during intense training [3]. Acetyl-L-Carnitine also increases the use of fat for energy. This unique nutrient will help you have some of the most powerful, intense and productive workouts ever.

L-Glutamine: 5 grams
To make the formula even more effective, you also get 5 grams of pure L-Glutamine. Glutamine is one of the most popular and effective amino acids you can buy. It works together with Creatine to drag muscle-building nutrients into your muscle cells, giving you incredible pumps in the gym! Glutamine also keeps your immune system strong, and prevents illness or infection interfering with your training. Incredible research done at Louisiana State University shows that just 2 grams of L-Glutamine (half the amount in one serving of Creatamax Extreme) will optimise your growth hormone levels by more than 400% [1]! Growth hormone is one of the most powerful muscle-building hormones your body produces. Just think what a massive difference this extra growth hormone will make to the way you look!

Bicarbonates: 1000 mg
The new ‘Extreme’ formula also contains a unique high alkaline ph bicarbonate blend. Research shows that the high acid levels in the stomach dramatically impairs Glutamine uptake and converts Creatine to the useless waste product Creatinine. This makes nearly all other Creatine or Glutamine formulas obsolete. By using this new high ph alkaline bicarbonate blend, acid levels are lowered, increasing Glutamine uptake and supporting Creatine absorption and therefore further increasing lean muscle gains and strength.

Carbohydrate: 22.7 grams
It’s a fact that Creatine alone is poorly absorbed. For rapid uptake into the muscle tissue, it should be taken with a simple carbohydrate (such as dextrose) [4]. This raises insulin levels, helping force-feed Creatine into the muscle for quicker and more effective results. To force more Creatine into your muscle cells, the precise amount of pure dextrose (22.7 grams) has been added. Unlike the ‘techy’ formulas that are loaded with almost 100 grams of sugar per serving, Creatamax Extreme should help you pack on muscle without gaining fat. What’s the point of adding half a stone of pure muscle, if it then gets hidden under a layer of flab? Did you know that many Creatine complex formulas use so much dextrose that each daily serving contains 2000 calories of simple sugars!!!

Albion Magnesium chelate: 50 mg
Research shows us that Creatamax Extreme is made even more effective with the addition of a special Albion Magnesium Chelate, which improves the uptake and absorption of Creatine. Albion Magnesium Chelate is so effective, it was granted a patent by scientists in the US (US Patent # 6,114,379).

D-pinitol: 28 mg
D-pinitol is an exciting anabolic (non-steroidal) nutrient with insulin-like effects, driving Creatine, Glutamine and other muscle-building nutrients into your muscle cells [2]. Not only does this increase muscle growth, it also accelerates recovery by forcing more energy-producing carbohydrates into your muscles - allowing more intense, result-producing workouts. The positive effects of Pinitol have been described by noted experts such as Dr. Daniel Gwartney, M.D. Writing in Ironman magazine, Gwartney points out that “… of all the proposed so-called insulin mimickers and insulin co-factors, pinitol is the one with the most promise.” The power of Pinitol has been known by top US experts for some time - it’s even been awarded two U.S. Patents (#5,550,166 and #5,827,896). This exciting new nutrient is included for you in Creatamax Extreme!

Best of all, numerous studies have confirmed Creatine as completely safe to use. Creatamax Extreme will not cause liver or kidney problems. Creatamax Extreme is 100% IOC/WADA allowed and will not result in a failed drug test of any kind. If you’re used to nasty tasting powders, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. Not only will you find that Creatamax Extreme has a potent formula but it tastes fantastic and mixes instantly in water. No need for messy blenders, hot water or fruit juices! Two great tasting flavours are available - orange and fruit punch.

Taken alone, Creatamax Extreme is highly effective. However, combined with ZMA, the results will be that much greater! ZMA is a highly potent blend of Zinc Monomethionine, Magnesium Aspartate and vitamin B6 designed to raise your testosterone levels, increase your strength, and speed up muscle growth. One university study shows that ZMA will increase testosterone levels by a whopping 33.5%. These powerful effects on hormone levels also have an impressive effect on muscle strength - ZMA users gained strength 252% faster than those using nothing.

The minerals zinc and magnesium have a number of important functions in the body.
Zinc has been strongly linked to the production of testosterone, a hormone that plays a vital role in regulating muscle growth. In addition to its effect on testosterone, zinc has also been shown to increase levels of growth hormone and IGF-1 - essential in the quest for increased muscle size [9]. Magnesium is also an essential mineral, involved in more than 300 chemical reactions in the body (including the ‘burning’ of fat) [8].

Unfortunately, many of us don’t get enough of these minerals in our diets. According to a recent survey, more than 3 out of 5 people consume less than the RDA for magnesium and zinc [8]. Clinical trials show that animals fed low zinc diets exhibit little muscle growth. If you exercise, the problem gets even worse. Just one training session can increase magnesium losses by 21%. More worryingly, studies have also shown a significant loss of magnesium in sweat. It also appears that zinc levels drop the longer you spend in the gym.

These deficiencies have led researchers to study mineral supplementation in some depth - with some extremely promising results. Magnesium increased muscular performance far more quickly than those taking a ‘dummy’ supplement. Similar findings were reported for zinc - after just 14 days of supplementation, subjects showed an impressive increase in muscular strength and endurance [7]. Even in men just moderately deficient in zinc, 30 mg daily was enough to double testosterone levels in only six months [8].

However, researchers weren’t prepared for the incredible results they got using a zinc and magnesium combination.
The study, conducted at Western Washington University, followed two groups of American Footballers during an 8-week training programme [11]. One group was given ZMA, while the second group used a ‘dummy supplement. None of the footballers knew which was which. ZMA supplementation led to a dramatic 33.5% increase in testosterone. In contrast, testosterone levels actually dropped in the control group. And testosterone wasn’t the only hormone that increased. IGF-1 (a powerful hormone that plays a vital role in muscle growth) is normally lowered in response to regular exercise. However, despite the intensive training programme, ZMA users experienced a 3.6% increase in IGF-1 levels. In non-ZMA users, IGF-1 levels dropped by a worrying 21.5%.

These powerful effects on hormone levels also had an impressive effect on muscle strength - ZMA users demonstrated gains in strength that were 252% larger than the control group. Publication of these results prompted many companies to add zinc and magnesium to their meal replacement supplements. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with this rather naive approach, as many of these products contain calcium, which has been shown to interfere with the absorption of zinc to achieve the results as indicated.

According to Victor Conte, founder of BALCO Laboratories in California, “calcium interferes with zinc absorption,” adding, “Zinc should be taken on an empty stomach at night before bedtime.” Researchers at Tufts University gave subjects a test meal containing both zinc and calcium, and also report a 50% reduction in zinc absorption [10].

Despite this, at least three companies have added ZMA to their meal replacement supplements, even though they contain calcium in significant amounts. Unfortunately, these products simply won’t have the same effect as the ZMA used in the research. Victor Conte again. “Zinc and magnesium should be taken on an empty stomach before bedtime,” he continues, suggesting that, “Approximately 20 to 30mg of zinc and 400-500mg of magnesium, taken at night, seems to be necessary to optimise effects.”

Another crucial point to consider is the special form of magnesium used in the ZMA research, known as magnesium aspartate. This type of magnesium is absorbed far more efficiently than other forms. If you took any old Zinc or Magnesium supplement alone, although you would get some well-being or muscle contraction benefits, but you would be unlikely to get the natural increases in free testosterone, total testosterone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1.)

Using the stack is simple and easy.
All you need to do is take two servings of Creatamax Extreme each day, even on non-training days. Take 2 capsules of ZMA every day, 30-60 minutes before bedtime.

I have extensive experience with combining ZMA with creatine. ZMA is a great
booster of test and creatine always gives an instant hit - although thats a lot
of water retention. Some useful research here.
